Hello Joanne, first of all I would like to thank you for using our services, you were wonderful to work with. We did tell your daughter it was ok to put a few things in the trunk, clothing and etc, but when the driver showed up, he stated that the vehicle was filled to the roof, the front seat and the trunk, he could barely even get in just to put the vehicle on the truck. He did let your daughter know before hand of the charge before loading the vehicle and had her sign off on the extra weight charge and it does state in the terms and conditions " it is at your assigned carrier's discretion of personal goods may be transported". These drivers have to go thru weight stations and get charged for overweight, that is why he charged for the extra weight. Your daughter even had two night stands in the vehicle, to which I had told her that would be way over limit. So please future customers, if you would like to transport your vehicle, a few light weight things are ok to transport, anything that may be overweight, discuss with the driver because there may be a overweight charge. These are sub-contracted drivers and they may charge for overweight at their own discretion. And on another note, each individual vehicle are not weighted, the carrier itself is weighted, therefore if the carrier is fined for being overweight, he would need to charge the vehicles that are carrying the access weight.
Many Blessings,
Letty :)
