I would like to state that this review is not against Monstar itself but the carrier company that was used. The customer service received by Letty was excellent, she did answer all my questions with the best know how. the quoted price was fair enough. Was very understanding when at first I had placed the pick up for my daughter's car and later on during the day found out that had to cancel and place it for another day. I really felt confident that I had made a good choice.
The car was picked up the next business day. I had asked if it was ok for a luggage and clothings would be allowed to be placed in the trunk, we were told up to 100 pouds it was OK
My surprise was when the car was delivered my daughter had to pay an extra $200.00 because of the weight. and there is nothing you could do. I just wish that there was something showing that this car was weighed and it showed that it was over the 100 pounds allowed, and how much it cost per pound over the weight allowed. . I just felt we were just charged an extra $200. Would I reccomend the company, I'm not sure , it is a toss up,unless they can proove how the individual cars are weighed.

Hello Joanne, first of all I would like to thank you for using our services, you were wonderful to work with. We did tell your daughter it was ok to put a few things in the trunk, clothing and etc, but when the driver showed up, he stated that the vehicle was filled to the roof, the front seat and the trunk, he could barely even get in just to put the vehicle on the truck. He did let your daughter know before hand of the charge before loading the vehicle and had her sign off on the extra weight charge and it does state in the terms and conditions " it is at your assigned carrier's discretion of personal goods may be transported". These drivers have to go thru weight stations and get charged for overweight, that is why he charged for the extra weight. Your daughter even had two night stands in the vehicle, to which I had told her that would be way over limit. So please future customers, if you would like to transport your vehicle, a few light weight things are ok to transport, anything that may be overweight, discuss with the driver because there may be a overweight charge. These are sub-contracted drivers and they may charge for overweight at their own discretion. And on another note, each individual vehicle are not weighted, the carrier itself is weighted, therefore if the carrier is fined for being overweight, he would need to charge the vehicles that are carrying the access weight. Many Blessings, Letty :)
