Why use a broker??

Mercury was supposed to facilitate the transport of our car. Once they picked a company for transport and things started to go wrong, they kept saying that this was a great carrier and this is just the business. Did not pick up on time or even within 48 hours of the said time. Did not deliver within a week of the date they gave. Did not communicate. Did not give updates. Did not communicate about drop off. The whole process was super stressful and Mercury was not helpful. Why use a broker? Two stars because he tried to help? Ann

We’re sorry to hear that your transport experience did not meet expectations. The carrier assigned to your shipment is one we’ve successfully completed over 500 transports with. As explained throughout the process, all pickup and delivery dates provided are estimates, since unforeseen factors such as FMCSA-mandated driver hours, traffic, weather, and other customer pickups or deliveries can cause delays. We do apologize for the communication issues you experienced. Our agents consistently reached out to the carrier on your behalf through phone, email, and text to obtain updates—especially when the carrier was not communicating directly. While we understand how frustrating transport delays can be, our team did everything possible to assist and keep you informed within the limits of what the carrier provided. Auto transport is a broker-led industry, and we work to bridge the communication gap between customers and drivers who are often on the road and unable to respond in real time.
