We are very sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced during your transport.
We do want to clarify a few important points. Mercury Auto Transport is a licensed broker, and we are always upfront with our customers about that—we do not own or operate trucks. For your order, we specifically arranged and disclosed Team Up Trucking LLC as your carrier, and you were advised to only release your vehicle to that company. Unfortunately, it appears you allowed a different carrier, US Roads Inc., to take possession of your vehicle. This was not authorized by Mercury, and we had no involvement in that substitution.
Additionally, as explained during the booking process, car transport services are not designed for moving personal items. While some carriers may allow small items under certain conditions, anything placed inside the vehicle is done entirely at the customer’s own risk. We strongly discourage loading vehicles with personal belongings for exactly the reasons you described.
Even so, when this issue came to light, we refunded Mercury’s deposit to you in good faith, despite the fact that the circumstances were outside of our control.
We understand how upsetting this experience has been, and we wish things had gone differently. We also encourage future customers to carefully follow the instructions provided to ensure a safe and smooth transport.
