This was a learning experience. Trevon, our broker for finding a driver to take our car from Rhode Island to New Mexico, was helpful, answered my calls, and stayed in touch until our vehicle was picked up on the day promised. From that point on we relied on the pleasant driver to get our car to its destination. Giving up control and hoping for the best is difficult, so I did contact our driver the following Wednesday and was assured that all was well and delivery would most likely be Saturday, only 1 day after the expected date, which was great. Contact is very important. The car was delivered to the recipient Saturday, in good condition, and there were no problems. We were told by our broker that the recipient would have 2-3 hours notice before delivery, but it was actually 30-45 minutes notice. The car was expected Saturday so the answering machine was checked frequently. All in all, a satisfactory transaction and just a bit higher in cost than quoted - but look what's happened to the price of gas in Spring of 2011 ! Thank you Trevon and Louey.
