In early December, my son moved from Washington to Auburn Hills, Michigan, to attend law school. He decided to fly, since winter weather would probably make the drive very difficult. When he'd been in Michigan for a week, he saw that public transportation would not meet his needs. We decided to ship his car to him.
I got e-mailed quotes from about 20 auto transport companies, a few of which called and seemed rather pushy. Trevon from Magic Carpet called and calmly explained what the company could do for us. I listened and said I'd call back. One thing that made a difference in my choice was the location of the company, in the Vancouver, WA - Portland area. I like dealing with reasonably local companies. I called Trevon back and we talked more about shipping the car. We agreed on a price. I asked for a certain pickup date, and the car was picked up on that day. Trevon called and e-mailed me a few more times as the car began its journey, but then directed his calls to my son, who was on the receiving end. My son know exactly what was happening and when the car would arrive.
The entire transport experience was very positive. I had confidence that all would go as planned, and it did. My confidence in Magic Carpet was well-deserved. I would definitely use this company again.
