I had never transported a vehicle before and expected it to be a difficult process. I did some on line research and found Magic Carpet Transport, and gave them a call on Monday Sept 20, 2010 at about mid day. I needed to have the vehicle I had loaned my son in Denver, CO transported back to Flagstaff, AZ. I was amazed when the vehicle was unloaded in front of my house in less than 48 hrs! Here are the details. My contact person was Michelle Henriksbo, and I explained to her what I was trying to do, and that I really was not in a hurry to get the vehicle back, but just wanted to know that it was set up and would happen. I had no knowledge of how this would be done, and I realize now that I asked her many dumb questions. She would have been justified if she were rolling her eyes, but she answered my questions in such a friendly way, that I quickly began to feel comfortable with her and confident that I was talking to the right person to get this job done. Although time in transit was not an issue with me, I did have some issues that made the situation difficult. I work out of town and no one could be home during the day to greet the driver. I asked if they could unload the vehicle in the street and I would leave a money order on the door for the driver. She passed on this information to the transport CO, but to my surprise, they arrived in the evening after I arrived home from work. I don't know if this was coincidence or intentional, but the timing couldn't have been any better. The thing that most impressed me was the amount of information I received about the transport while it was in progress. I received an email telling me that my vehicle had been assigned to a truck, the next morning after my initial phone call to Michelle. A few hours later, I received another telling me that the vehicle had been picked up. I also received text messages on my phone which was nice because I don't have access to a computer during the day. On Wednesday, the transport driver texted me to tell me what time he would be at my house with the vehicle. He was very friendly and arrived the evening before the expected delivery date. I then received another call from Michelle asking me if everything went alright. The customer service far exceeded my expectations. If I ever need to transport a vehicle again, I will call Magic Carpet Transport and specifically ask for Michelle. If you read this review and need transport service, I recommend you do the same.
