'99 Miata transported from Texas to Iowa

I purchase a 1999 Miata on ebay from a dealer in Alvin, Texas. This is the first time I've purchased a vehicle out of state and decided to have it transported commercially to my residence as opposed to flying to Texas and drive the car back home. After some checking around on-line, I found that Magic Carpet Auto Transport was the least expensive, so I gave them a call. Michelle was the representative that I spoke with, and was very polite, helpful and friendly. I was quoted a cost of $703 from door-to-door, including insurance to cover any in-transit damages that may occur. I agreed to the price and made a small down payment over the phone using a credit card. Magic Carpet basically took care of everything from then on. The car was picked up from the dealer's location within a couple of days by Reliant Auto Transport, Inc. , and was delivered to my door two days later. The balance of the payment ($480 C.O.D.) was paid directly to the driver of the carrier, and the car was unloaded safely at my home. I would highly recommend using Magic Carpet's services to anyone who needs this type of service, and would personally not hesitate to use them again if the need arises.
