After dealing with broken promises with another transporter (Cascade - and yes, I know they are under the same ownership as MC), I was fortunate enough to find John Mendez at Magic Carpet for my second attempt at getting a large truck moved from WI to TX. This was more challenging due to my request for an enclosed carrier and pickup in a relatively remote area of WI.

John Mendez was up to the challenge and secured what I thought was a very fair price in short order (about 5 days). If I would have settled for an open carrier, I have no doubt he would have had my auto moving in two or less days.

John also was available for phone calls practically anytime on his cell. If you use Magic Carpet, I can't stress enough that you should insist on having John as your rep. From dealing with a less competent rep at Cascade, I can say without a doubt that your experience has much more to do with your rep than the business name they work under.

Amazingly, my truck arrived in less than 48 hours after it was loaded! I was pleased to see it was safe and sound inside a spotless trailer (it looked to have room for 3 cars total which probably helped for the speedy delivery) being pulled by a new F-350 truck. The driver was very courteous and showed up exactly when he said he would.

All in all, I am very satisfied with all aspects of the service. If I knew the name of the truck company John secured, I would mention it and recommend them as well.

Ken, this review is more than I would have expected and very much appreicated. Everyday, I get calls from customers who have been mislead on picked times and on rates from those unwilling to put in the time to secure a carrier at the right price.
