I needed my car transported cross-country - from Florida to Oregon - about 3,145 miles. I researched car carriers and decided on Magic Carpet because of their Number One rating over the past two years. Their price was in the mid range - some carriers were cheaper and others were more expensive. In an e-mail, I was told Nicole had been assigned to me as my personal assistant.
Initially, I was told there shouldn't be a problem picking my car up on a Friday or Saturday (which were the days I requested), it wasn't picked up until the following Tuesday. Again, since the car was being transported cross-country, I didn't think that was bad and it was within the window Magic Carpet mentions on their site. Nicole communicated to me it was because my car was being transported so far and carriers to Oregon were, at that particular time, not that plentiful. Also, finding someone to come to Bend, Oregon (160 miles SE of Portland) for a door to door delivery was difficult.
I wanted my car ASAP and told Nicole if she could find someone to deliver it to Portland, Eugene, Salem, or anywhere along I-5 in Oregon, I would accept that, rent a car and drive to that city to pick it up. She found a carrier able to drop it off east of Portland, which was a shorter distance than having to drive to Portland. The carrier got my car there in seven days, which was on the early end of the scale of the seven to ten day transport time.
Nicole kept in touch with me via phone and e-mail so I knew what was happening in the transport process. I think she went above and beyond in arranging my transport.
I would use Magic Carpet again with hesitation.
