In the process of relocating my son from CA to WA, I made initial arrangements with a competing broker to transport his 2000 Camry and 1974 260Z at a cost of $975. The transaction was accomplished on 6/12/09 (to include full payment...bad idea and not an industry standard practice), with a 1st available pickup date of 6/29/09. On 6/29/09, I contacted the initial broker for a status check and wound up (foolishly) paying another $250 for expidited service...but with a guaranteed 7/6/09 pickup date! Needless to say, 7/6/09 came and went with no pickup, no valid explanation from the initial broker, and after checking their BBB report card a very "screwed" feeling.

So, on 7/12/09, I finally gave up on the initial broker, did some internet homework, and contacted Magic Carpet Auto Transport...the so-called "best" broker in the country. My new effort began with much skeptisim, but quickly began to disappate when Ms. Stephanie Hamilton (Account Executive Godess), took charge of my saga. She consoled me without slamming the initial carrier's obvious shortcomings and reassurred me the process does work without over-promising the world. She made me laugh without compromising her ethics or professionalism. She is damn good...but needs to work on her spelling (ha, ha).

Anyway, for an amazing price of just $1057 ($257 e-checked on confirmation of pickup and $800 COD), the vehicles were picked up on 7/15/09 as scheduled and delivered on 7/15/09 as promised. Oh yea, it was an enclosed carrier (Muscle Cars, Inc.) with no extra charge. The driver, Mr. Mark Humphrees, was very courteous, considerate and careful; and a pretty cool dude! What had begun as a nightmare was finally over and thanks to some folks who really care about their industry, my experience wound up being a positive one!

P.S. If you want to know who the "initial broker" was, you'll have to read my other review...once I get my refund?
