I dealt with Kathy at Magic Carpet Auto Transport to ship my car from Monterey, CA to Atlanta, GA. I called Kathy on a Tuesday afternoon to let her know the car was ready and she told me it could be a few days before pickup, but she would do what she could. About 20 minutes later she called back and had the pickup scheduled for the next morning. Her official estimate of shipping time was 6-8 days, I got the car in 4. Car arrived without any damage or issues, but I had to drive to a nearby Wal-Mart parking lot to meet the driver and the truck. Most companies advertise door to door service, but I can understand needing space to offload a semi, and the driver called a couple days in advance to find the location closest to me. Overall great experience with Magic Carpet, and I would definitely use them again. They weren't the cheapest quote, but I'll pay a little more to get my car faster and without any damage. Magic Carpet has a repeat customer if I need anything else shipped.
