First time having a car moved, let alone from the west coast, all the way to the east coast. I went with the best reviewed. I was quoted by other companies at a price much lower, and Magic Carpet attempted to move my car at the price I requested. Unfortunately, I was told they couldn't move it at the lower price of other companies, but it was reasonable given the speed. After getting my car in almost half the expected time, I am very happy. I even felt confident shipping my car with some small items in it.

Things to note, your car will get dirty on the outside, because it's traveling all the way across the country in an open carrier. If you choose, I'm sure you can find a closed cover, but there were no damages to my car - just quite a bit of dirt that washed of with a quick rinse.

One thing that could've been better is the delivery to my location in DC. My options were to travel to the truck (about 20 mins away), or have the driver drive my car himself to my location, and then I would have to drive him back. For door-to-door service, I did expect my car to be towed to my location on delivery. It's not much mileage, but I would've preferred to have more detailed knowledge of what to expect on delivery. I was warned that I might need to meet the truck at a nearby parking lot and that it would be less than 5 minutes away. This problem was due to truck laws of DC, and not necessarily the fault of the transporter - but, I feel I should've been given this information ahead of time.

Overall, I would still use the company again. It might be a little more expensive, but I received my car FAST, and in great condition (other than the dirt). I had a friend ship his car on the same route with another company - he saved $50, but his car took twice as long to travel.
