Transport of my Mercedes Sports Car

In our move to Massachusetts everything seemed to be going smoothly, but lurking in the background was a question which we could not answer. How were we to find transport for our loved Mercedes sports car!!
Unlike our house movers whom had moved us successfully before, we had no way to know how to find a reliable and trustworthy transporter. Not only that but friends of my husband told a few horror stores of lost cars and frequent damage.

What to do??? We finally went online and were promptly deluged with offers. One of the first came from Don at Magic Carpet (what a name, huh). My first conversation with him left a positive impression- he was polite, knowledgeable about exactly the steps they would take to bring our car safely to Massachusetts, and not pushy. He just gave a lot of info and then said he knew we would want to think about it and compare to other transporters and he would keep in touch. He also referred us to a web site where transporters are rated. We then proceeded to interview a variety of other firms which had contacted us over the net. Often we had quite a few conversations in which we didn't seem to get the detailed response we did from Don. During this process Don kept his word and followed up with us, frequently answering questions which arose during our interviews.

We chose Don and Magic Carpet and we are so glad we did. We drove our car to San Francisco where we were met to a representative sent by Don to meet us and do a complete survey of our car's condition. This representative then took our car to the local holding place where it was picked up by a driver and transported cross country. Throughout the process we kept in touch with Don, had the cell phone of the driver, and the phone of the contact firm in Massachusetts. Our car was delivered in a short time safe and sound directly to my brother's house! It was an excellent experience for us. By the way, the price was a bit better than many others.

We recommend unreservedly Don Treece and Magic Carpet and their staff. We would use them again.
