Well after over a year and a half of living in Colorado I finally decided to get my pile of crap car shipped out to me from New Jersey. Its about an 1800 mile trip. The car didn't run so that was an extra problem. I was overwhelmed with all the multitudes of car transport brokers available on the internet. So I called my auto insurance company and asked them if they had a list of reputable car transport firms that they trusted. After a very long time on hold they came back to me with a short list of 4 transport brokers they could reccomend to me. I called everyone on the list and only got through to two of them. When I called Magic Carpet Auto Transport I was greeted by Michelle, she was gregarious and friendly, and she spoke English well. I told her the particulars of my transport and she gave me a quote that seemed to good to be true. I compiled a list between the online contacts and the personal phone contacts and reviewed the quotes. I decided to call back Michelle and figure out why the quote was so low( I thought she just liked me). Well I spoke with someone else who gave me a more realistic quote. I mulled it over a few days and decided to call Michelle again and confirm the pick up of my broken down pile of crap non running West German money pit. She set it all up for me and said a transporter would most likely pick up the car in a week or so. Within a week my car was picked up on time from the Jersey Shore and was in route to the Rockies. Yuri the stoic Russian from Brooklyn(the transport driver) had my car here in 4 days, 1 day ahead of time. It was tricky to get close to my garage with the big transport rig, so once Yuri got the car off the truck he even helped my push that rust bucket right into my garage.

Overall I was satisfied with the whole experience, it is kinda of nerve racking putting your car in the hands of someone you've never met before and trust them to bring it to you.
