After spending a great deal of time researching companies to transport my car from Baltimore, MD to San Diego, CA, I decided to go with MJ Parker Trucking because of the good reviews on this site. Originally, I had worked with another broker, but the carriers they recommended to me had some very questionable reviews.

I spoke with Joanne and she let me know that although she wasn't going that route, she had someone who was able to pick up my car. Because I was in California already, my parents met Alex, the carrier, at an agreed pick up point. They said he was very nice and courteous. Alex went around the car with my parents and marked any pre-existing scratches and bumps the car had. he then gave them a copy of the report.

My car was picked up on Thursday and delivered to me the following Wednesday. Alex got in touch with me on Tuesday to let me know his ETA and to schedule a meeting place. Because I was at work an hour from home and was unable to meet him on time, I got him in touch with my boyfriend and they agreed on a meeting place because our street was too small to fit the truck. Again, I heard that Alex was a nice guy.

I paid a total of $800 to get my car out, which I thought was reasonable based on other estimates. It was affordable and the service was good. My car was very dirty from the move but that's understandable being on an open carrier. It made it to me safely without any new scratches or anything broken. I would definitely recommend Joanne to friends or family. I believe that if she can't move your car, she'll be able to find people you can trust.
