My customer Peter Barnett called me on 9/30 to get a truck for his new vehicle that he had just purchased in Georgia, and wanted a quick pickup so the vehicle could be delivered before Monday 10/05. I got the truck for him and the pickup was scheduled for 10/01 and delivery on 10/03.
When the carrier showed up at the dealership, the vehicle was not ready for transport and the transaction was not completed with the dealership as Mr Barnett told me that all was completed and needed the vehicle relocated asap. Actually the vehicle was ready the following day, but the carrier was not able to wait that long. I immediately got a different carrier, but the delivery was going to be on Tuesday 10/06 and Mr. Barnett did not want to wait until Tuesday, so he cancelled his order with me and the dealership made arrangement to send the car in Ohio.
The deposit of $100.00 was sent to the carrier for compensation on wasting time and fuel. Please next time, make sure that all is completed, financial transaction and vehicle ready from dealership before having your transport broker assign the relocation of your new vehicle.
