This customer admits it was a first experience for him. When I assigned the first truck (who was extremely well qualified)... the first driver broke down with mechanical issue... second driver showed up very quickly. The problem here is this guy wants me to pay for rental cars and lost wages and probably anything else he can collect ....
I offered everything I could (like discounts on future moves) but he insisted on writing a negative review because the first truck broke down. Now how is that my fault? The first truck was scheduled within the window for pick up (not late). The second truck was there very quickly after I was notified there was a problem. What more can I do? I am NOT the God of all things mechanical here. Mechanical failures happen to the best of truckers. Some people are just a little bit unreasonable when it comes to reasonable expectations. As a broker I don't think I could have done anything better or faster on this one when you consider all aspects of this situation. This guy just wants to be compensated when the car was in fact moved within the terms and conditions of our agreement (including being a day late with the second truck being needed). Most customers would have given me a 5 star review for having a back up driver available with short notice. You just can't win with some people.
