Very pleased and a little lucky

We had an excellent experience with Intercity Lines. We were apparently a little lucky scheduling the pickup since they had a truck ready to leave Texas during the week that we were ready to ship. The actual pickup time was rescheduled for a couple of hours because of a delay by another person shipping on the same truck. We were told by others that unless you are the only vehicle on the truck you should be prepared for these types of delays so we were.

We selected Intercity Lines because of the reviews and because they use enclosed trucks. We searched for our car for over 18 months and we did not want to be worried about it while it was in transit. After the pickup was made, around 3:30 pm on Friday, December 2nd, the seller contacted us and told us that our car "was in good hands." Of course that was what we wanted to hear.

We didn't ask for a particular delivery date so we didn't know how many other stops the driver had to make. Consequently, we were pleasantly surprised to hear from the driver on Sunday night that, unless the company had other plans for him, he hoped to be delivering our car on the following Wednesday or Thursday (December 7th or 8th). We had been told by others to expect that kind of delay because companies want to travel with a truck that is as full as possible and trucks might have to detour to make another pickup. Fortunately it didn't happen to us.

Wednesday night, December 7th, Bill (our driver) called and said that they planned to deliver our car the following morning at 9:30 if that was ok with us and of course we said yes. They were right on time. Intercity says that they cover all the cars that they ship; ours was and it's worth it. The car arrived looking like it had just been detailed, which it had been by the seller before it was shipped. Our decision to use an enclosed truck with Intercity Lines was the right one and we would use them again without hesitation.
