Outstanding experience with "Get it Done Transportation"

I had an urgent need to transport my son's Mustang GT from Maryland to Los Angeles as he started college and needed the car for transportation. I reviewed web sites for transportation companies and found this website extremely useful. After reading numerous good reviews about David Pein and "Get it Done Transportation," I got 2 quotes - one from a major, well-known nationall moving company that I would have had absolute confidence in and David Pein at "Get it Done Transportation." The major moving company quote was very reasonable - about $1500 but their service time for the pickup was "within 5 days" and then the delivery time was "up to 14 days after pickup," so a total of a possible 19 day wait for my son. David Pein quoted me $1040, pickup within 2 days and delivery within 6-9 days, so a maximum 11 day wait. Because David was as responsive and enthusiastic as the reviews on this site indicated, I made a decision to go with David's quote. The next day I was in contact with the trucking company (TMK Transportation) David assigned and made arrangements to pick up my son's car on the very next morning. When I spoke to the driver and dispatcher at TMK Transportation and reviewed the certificate of Liability insurance, taxpayer certification and U.S. Dept. of Transportation common carrier certification, I had some questions about the company's experience level and called David, who assured me the company had done a number of successful deliveries for him so I went ahead with the arrangements. I was completely delighted with the end to end experience I had with TMK transportation. Perhaps because they are an independent small business, both the driver and dispatcher were extremely friendly and accessible via phone. The driver was within an hour of being on time, despite very heavy rains and commute traffic in the Washington D.C. area that morning and both he and the dispatcher called me to let me know where he was. The loading went smoothly and I had numerous calls from the dispatcher in the subsequent few days as the driver neared Los Angeles. I was very concerned about the drop-off to my son, who after all, is a college freshman on his own for the first time, but TMK Transporation flawlessly worked with my son and I to arrange a meeting place at my son's campus and the dropoff was right on time. My son called me and was delighted with the driver who dropped off his Mustang. I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience of working with David Pein and TMK Transportation. There were 2 BMWs, a Mercedes and 2 Range Rovers on the truck along with my son's Mustang, so clearly they are a very responsible company, entrusted with very valuable vehicles. I highly recommend them! Oh, and the end-to-end time from calling David to having the car delivered in Los Angeles was just 7 days! Fantastic...
