Problems through out the entire process. AVOID!

I would avoid this company at all cost. They made the process of moving my car from Florida to California an absolute nightmare. I wish I’d paid more attention to the negative reviews on this site before I chose to do business with them!
Gateway (who acted in the capacity of an agent) told me a day in advance my car would be picked up in Florida on a Wednesday which was fine. I arranged to have somebody stay with my car the following day (they took off work for this). The following day came and went with no communication from Gateway or the driver. After finally speaking with Gateway, they said it'd probably be picked up the following day. I again had to have somebody stay with the car... The driver came the following day and told us that Gateway hadn't contacted him about picking up the car until 4pm on the day when it was originally to be picked up and he was 4 hours away at that point. He let gateway know there was no way he could have picked my car up that day. Information, which Gateway felt no need to pass along proactively to us.
Gateway told me my car would arrive in San Diego within a window of 7-10 days which would be from Friday June 29 - Monday, July 2nd. I let them know that I would not be in town until June 29th and I would not be able to pick it up any earlier than this. They confirmed it would not arrive prior to that date. On Monday, June 25th, the driver calls me and says my car is in San Diego and I need to pick it up. When I told him he was 5 days early, he told me Gateway never gave him a timeframe but rather told him to drop the car in San Diego as fast as possible. I called Gateway to discuss a solution and was told I’d get a call back which didn't happen. Long story short, I had to pay the driver an extra $140 to drive my car to Los Angeles where I was. The driver was nice and helpful. Gateway on the other hand was a disaster and refused to reimburse the $140 extra I had to pay because of their lack of communication with the driver. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
