Damaged/cut tire - My car was very dirty from the transport and I couldn’t see the tires real well during a walk around inspection. The next day morning I was checking the air pressure in my tires and noticed that one of the rear tires was cut and the alloy wheel damaged. This is a 20” wheel with racing tire on my BMW X5 and they cost a lot. I called Marcello right away and he said that because I signed off on the paperwork he was not responsible. I agree that I should have looked at my tires more carefully before taking delivery, but this kind of service is unacceptable.
Scratches on the car – I noticed a lot of scratches on the car to which he said that those things are not covered by insurance and these things happen from tree branches scratching your car during transport. He rubbed some car polish on it to appease me. When I told Marcello that the scratches on my car was not acceptable he threatened to put my car back up on his truck. This is very poor customer service.
Delay in delivery - Marcello (driver – Flash Transport) said that he was in a city (Sunnyvale, California) about 30 minutes away from me, but could not come up to my area for a day. After 2 days he said that he was at a Manheim car auction in a city 20 minutes away and I had to go there to pick up my car or I had to wait until he was done. There was no way to know when he would deliver so I went up to him to take delivery of my car.
No insurance – When I called the dispatch company and told them about this incident they gave me the number to Flash Transport’s insurance company. When I called them they said that Marcello / Flash Transport has not had insurance with them for over 6 months. The delivery was not only delayed by a few days even though the car was close (30 minutes away) to my place, but it was also badly damaged. There are other alternatives who offer the same price so please check their reputation before you engage with any car transport company.
