Had my car picked up from CA - a 2-door coupe - was going to IL for school. I expected transport to take approx. a week, give or take a couple of days according to stories- Monday to Tuesday or so. They arrived late afternoon on Monday, no problem there - I wasn't doing anything of importance that day anyway. Took them about 15-20 minutes to inspect the car, and saw my car loaded onto their truck.
I tried calling the driver that picked up my car on Monday the week after pickup (Jenny), but she was not picking up her cell phone. Tuesday I tried again with no answer, so I called the dispatch office. Apparently, they had switched drivers, and I was told to call the new driver - DZ. Called him, he said he would be in Chicago by Wednesday, and should deliver it by approx. 2:00PM. That's fine I thought, because we were driving to Champaign on Wednesday, check out for our hotel was at 1PM, so we would have to wait an hour.
By the time we checked out, however, I called DZ and asked where he was, and he moved our drop-off time back to 5:00PM because of the other dropoffs he had to do, and because the two cars directly behind mine would not start. I was annoyed at this point, and tried to speed up the process by calling dispatch, and asking him where he was, where he was going to be so I could meet him to pick up my car. One call comes to mind, and he asked, "Why do you keep calling me? I'm trying to do the best I can."
Realizing I could not help speed up the process, me and my girlfriend just waited for him. He called at about 5:15PM saying he would meet us - at sometime about 6:00PM we received the meeting location, but due to horrible Chicago traffic, we received our car at about 7:15PM at the meeting location. Upon receipt of the car, he was very apologetic, and I noticed he was driving alone (not with a second driver). I'm not sure if this is the norm in the industry, and also it was very rainy.
My car had oil or sap spots on the windshield and the hood that IL rain could not even get off. I understand that there are delays that can occur in this industry, so I'm not too bothered by that. The only reason I would not use this company again is because of the dirt that was on my car during reception.
