If I ever need to ship another vehicle, I'll use Door-to-Door. I initially contracted another broker on shipping my vehicle and was given a 4-6 day pickup etimate. 9 days passed and nothing, was told it could be another week before it got assigned. Contacted Door-to-Door, they found my original transport request and explained why my vehicle was still sitting and explained their pricing/payment ($100 more than other company but a larger amount going to transporter). I cancelled my original contract and contracted with Door-to-Door late Friday and the vehicle was picked up the following Tuesday. Vehicle was dirty, was on bottom of transport and drove in rain, to be expected really (unless you fork out the extra $ and go enclosed). Otherwise it was in the same shape as when it left MD and documented in condition report. Driver did want person on sending end to drive vehicle to them for picked, but when told they needed to come get the vehicle, they did do so. Also didn't give them any advance notice as to when they'd be picking up the vehicle. On the receiving end I was called 5 hours before estimated delivery and then again 35 minutes out. Driver handled himself very professionally and was careful with my vehicle. Even though my total cost matched the quote, I think Door-to-Door actually 'ate' $50 of their portion (based upon the initial fee and COD amounts) and passed it along to the driver/transporter which I'm sure helped in getting the vehicle picked up so quickly.
