Before I started, I didn't think much about shipping a car. But then once I started looking at how to ship and reading reviews, I started getting concerned after reading about various people's experiences.

I found and read transportreviews.com and used what I read there to do some looking in a few federal sites that have records on carriers and brokers and made my pick based on a couple factors. One was that they are based here in Washington which meant I could at least drive to them if need be. Also the heap of reviews for Domestic Auto Transport caught my eye, as it probably will catch yours. With as many reviews as they had, I figured they at least have more than a handful of customers and they've been around a little while. They seemed to be pretty conscientious about their reputation and responding to people who had troubles. And yes, they do offer a break to me for writing. I wouldn't write if I hadn't had a good experience though...the break is more of compensation for me to take the trouble to write about the good experience I did have.

Anyway, Malia was personable and tenacious. It took me a few weeks to get my vehicle shipped and she kept after me just checking in once a week or so to see if I was ready to make a decision. Once I'd made the decision to ship, I changed from open to enclosed shipping, which was easy enough (more money for them) and I had a carrier out in about 48 hours. They picked up on Friday and I think the car was delivered to the dealer in Orange, CA on Monday or Tuesday morning.

Turned out I didn't have anything to be concerned about in the end. What more could I ask for?
