I have generally been told to stay away from brokers and to deal directly with a transport company. But in this instance, I'm glad I contacted DAT. I contacted some other brokers and didn't feel comfortable with them. Tara, at DAT, was thorough, professional, timely and paid attention to details. She returned emails and phone calls promptly. The car I was having transported from CA to MI was not very expensive, but I wanted a closed carrier. The major carriers, ie., Reliable, FedEx wanted about $1400. Tara found a closed carrier for $900. With the rebate, it's really $850. Open carriers were @$700. I would not hesitate to use DAT for my transportion needs.
