Final Price was higher than quoted price

The company provided a great customer service experience with the exception of sticking to original quoted price. The final cost of the transportation ended up being $50 more than was originally quoted and Domestic Auto did not contact me to alert me on the price increase and I found out directly from the carrier that I owed $50 more than was originally quoted. I would have appreciated more upfront communication and would have provided with a 5 star experience if Domestic auto stuck to its original price quote since I got some matching price quotes from similar competitors. I still would appreciate a $50 credit back to my credit card.

We actually collected less on your credit card than was originally quoted. I am not sure where the confusion is because we have it noted that you approved the carrier. Here are the notes from your order: naomi at 07/15/2013 10:45 AM: spoke to customer and went over dispatch and recovered the additional 50.00 naomi at 07/15/2013 10:45 AM: customer called back and agreed to move forward naomi at 07/15/2013 10:37 AM: left message for customer for 900.00 total to move forward with this carrier You could have declined the carrier over the 50.00 increase but you accepted. The carrier is the one who collected the extra 50.00 not Domestic Auto Transport. Your original fee with us was 210.00 and we only ran 200, so no we will not issue a refund on your card because we did not collect the extra 50.00. You approved the funds increase for the carrier on the 15th, the carrier picked up the vehicle on the 23rd as agreed when you approved the 900 total. We were very upfront with the additional cost over 15 days before your vehicle was even picked up, with your first available date of the 21st. I am not quite sure how we did not provide you 5 star service. We picked up the vehicle in the time frame you had requested, our cost was actually lower, and you approved the carrier to pick up the vehicle within your time frame. I am sorry, but I am not understanding the less than 5 star review. We do understand your frustration, but you made the decision to proceed with this carrier.
