After reading all of these reviews, I didn't know what to think - the positive reviews were flawless... whereas the negative reviews were really, really negative.. I guess that is to be expected.
My car has been picked up and hopefully will arrive soon - Direct Express did their job (my car got picked up a week or so after it was made available). I was concerned because my boyfriend had placed a similar order with the same dates and locations and his car was assigned immediately upon placing the order, but I understand now that it's just kind of luck of the draw.
My only suggestion to Direct Express is that perhaps you send reminder emails - it's very stressful to wait a whole week without hearing anything.. even if you say it should take 7-10 days, it's still worrisome because there's no way to really check status. I kept worrying that you didn't have my correct contact information or something.
After talking to another broker I learned about the process - how bids/car shipments are all placed on a message board, and then truckers pick up orders as it suits them. Now I totally understand that the time constraints are NOT the brokers fault, but it would be nice there's a place to check status... Just a suggestion, I think it would appease a lot of your customers who just want to make sure the waiting game doesn't mean there's a problem!
Again, sorry for all the stressed out calls. My car will hopefully be back to me soon! I sincerely apologize for all the crap you must receive from people who just don't understand the process..
