I am a single mother putting my only child through Harvard. I expressed the need to get my daughter her vehicle in Boston because my job won't allow me to fly up there and move her out of her dorm and get her set for a summer internship. This company strung me along for days - only to bail on my pickup at the very last minute. I contacted them frequently as I became more and more nervous that I did not hear from their dispatch as promised. Marc always called back, but he made empty promises and made excuses. Not only did I lose my ability to secure another carrier in time, but they caused me cancel my business trip and lose a client - as I could not leave my 19YO without a place to go. I was told "this is the shipping business, things happen." I am sorry, but if I used these excuses with my clients - I'd be fired every time!
I am so incredibly angry, not just because of the botched shipment and stranded daughter, but the failure to proactively communicate issues and the constant excuses and lies. Lesson learned, I suppose.
