Our car was picked up in southern CA on April 27th and per the phone arrangements made, it was to be delivered in Indianapolis between May 8th and 11th.

Because of GPS tracking on the vehicle, we were able to see that our car sat in LA from April 27th until around May 3rd. We were not thrilled that it sat in LA for nearly a week, but were initially pleased to see the car had arrived in the Chicago area (about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Indianapolis) on May 5th/6th so we assumed we would have it by the earlier May 8th date given during our booking.

When we hadn't heard anything from DAS by the 7th, we called to discover our car had been put onto another truck and was enroute to Chayenne Wyoming and would make stops in a few states much further away before returning to Chicago.

Via GPS we saw the car had again arrived in Chicago on May 11th; we immediately called only to find that the car would not be heading to us, but literally right past us to Kentucky before "maybe" delivering our car by the 15th, but most likely later than that.

When called, customer service was very rude and let us know that it did not matter what we were told during the sales process, they had a month or so to get us our car and there was nothing we could do about it. There is nothing more frustrating than dealing with service providers who will promise everything and deliver little with attitude to boot.

We told them to hold our car in Chicago where we drove to pick it up on May 13th. When we got the car we discovered damage to an interior feature that was caused by the car boucing on the truck. To be fair, this may have happened duirng the initial trip from LA to Chicago, but it is extremely possible that it occured during the additional 2 weeks of being trucked unnecessarily through several states.

DAS provided us a $140 credit because we drove 6 hours round trip to pick up our car and were not at all nice about it. Time, gas and rental car costs and a day out of work ate up that credit half way through the day.

I would never recommend using this company: They are unreliable, customer service is unaccommodating and their pricing is not any lower than other large carriers; if it were bargain pricing one might be able to deal with the extreme delays and lack of customer service.
