DAS paid by credit card 1-12-09, but hummer not picked up from Auto Dealer, no calls for apt. to pick up. No call to me alerting me of non-pickup, so car still sitting at Dealer for 11 days. Tons of excuses and whinning, then no one would return my numerous phone calls. DAS computer postings displayed inaccurate information or NO RECORD FOR TRACKING NUMBER. I discovered their terminals along the way to Oregon were Auto Wrecking Yards. Car moved from Houston to Mesquite, Texas in the middle of the night finally 1-21/22-09. No schedule for transport pickup in Mesquite, Texas for Transport to Medford, Oregon Auto Wrecking Yard, (terminal). Then the car would have to be scheduled for picked up in Medford, Or. to Bend, Or.
This trip could have taken a month or more due to transport trucks making other stops along the way or out of the way.
I cancelled the order, and sent an employee to Texas to pick up my car in Mexquite, Texas and drive it back to Central Oregon. DAS said they would issue a credit on my Credit Card for only half of the money for taking the car an inch on the map. The price was inflated with extra charges and $500.00 more than most companies on the internet quoted me. This was a terrible experience!

DAS has researched this order. We have extensive notes of our attempts to contact Texas Direct to ensure this vehicle was, in fact, there and ready for pick up. In most cases, we got no response or non-commital answers. On 01/13, we were told it was ready, when our truck got there the driver was told that it wasn't even there. It wasn't until 01/20, that Texas Direct confirmed the vehicle was there and ready for pick up. It was picked up by DAS on 01/21. For the record, DAS terminals are towing companies, not auto wrecking yards. As we are doubting that this person has visited any of our facilities, we find her comments to be not only inaccurate, but unresponsible. Unfortunately, Transport Reviews can't possible verify the accuracy of the reports on their site. Sometimes this results in people providing bad information.
