It took 3 weeks for my vehicle to be picked up. The vehicle was picked up at 12:00 AM on Saturday in Massachusetts. The dispatcher told me deliveries typically take between 5-7 days. This worked for me because I was out of town the weekend the vehicle was picked up. When I spoke to the driver, he said they could drop off the vehicle on Sunday! I was still out of town, so the vehicle was delivered to a city located about 150 miles. They scheduled the delivery for the following Friday - but not to my door, they told me the city I live in was not within the delivery area. Additionally, they told told me I had to pay an additional $50 for the delivery. I spoke with the terminal supervisor and Jim (the agent) and they both told me they would refund the $50. I picked up the vehicle in a city 50 miles from home and the driver was only interested in one thing - getting the check.
Now, 3 weeks later, I am still waiting for the $50 refund, and I have requested the $150 deposit be refunded. Both Jim and Ricardo promised returning my calls and emails and never do. Jim answered my phone call only to pretend he coudn't hear me - Hello, Hello. Ricardo has gone by Berney and Phillip in one conversation we had over the phone. I asked him twice what his name was and he used those two different names.
They too asked me to write my issues and send them the sequence of events via email. I did that and have not heard back.
Bottom line - Continental Auto Movers are not an honorable business. If you are expecting a high level of service, don't use them. They will feed you lines to keep you hanging on, then if any issues come up (and they will), then they will not honor their contract and will use shady tactics to deter your concerns.
I should have cancelled the order after the second missed pick up date - but, they probably wouldn't refund the deposit anyway.
My next step is to contact my credit card company, the better business bureau, and a lawyer. Jim and Ricardo, I hope you read this post, as you know what you promised and you know you did not deliver.
Don't use this company!
