I am not a pro, but just a hobbyist when it comes to cars. I have shipped about 10-15 cars in my adult life. I do know how it works with a central dispatch board, and basically the cars with the most money get shipped. I had my car on the board with another company when Rod called me and told me on the phone, and in writing, that he was NOT a broker. He told me that he runs his own fleet of trucks and could have my car picked up by the end of the week. He faxed me a contract, which I signed right away and sent back. I then gave him my credit card number for the deposit. I called at the end of the week and spoke with Philliip Gordon who told me that Rod was not available today, but my car would not be picked up until next week. After reading about all the horror stories on this site, I decided to ask for my deposit back. Which also seems like a stretch based on the reviews here. We will see. So at the end my biggest problem is the false statements. Saying that you own your own fleet when you dont is a big difference to me. You make the call.
