I have never had a car transported before, and I didn't quite know what to expect. I had purchased a car online from a dealer in Ohio, and needed to get it here to Spokane in Eastern Washington. It's pretty much a straight shot west on a major interstate from Ohio, so I thought getting a truck to pick up the car would be easy- but no such luck. It took 22 days to find a driver. Yikes. I was this close to flying out and driving back. At the ninth hour I was lucky enough to get Rich from RPM Moving to take the gig. Rich called promptly, and called several times during the trip to give me his ETA. He was friendly and very prompt. We were to meet at 12:00 and he arrived 30 seconds after 12:00. Fabulous.
I realize that the shipping company is a broker, and if there are no trucks, there are no trucks. Where I was disappointed was I was never once contacted to update me on any progress. After my order was put in, I waited until the end of the week, and when I hadn't heard I gave Jeff a call to see what was up. And this is pretty much how my customer service went- I always contacted Cascade. I was anxious about having purchased a car 2000 miles away. and wanted to keep up with what was happening. I was told several times that someone would call me, tomorrow or on Monday or later in the day and that never once happened. It wasn't like I was calling everyday, either.The folks on the other end of the line were always extremely polite and sounded helpful, but I would have appreciated a little more communication.
In the end, the car arrived safely, and Cascade gave me a discount on their commission, which I very much appreciated.

Michele, I'm was happy to help. Even tho we were working with a tougher state we didn't stop looking until we found transport for you. Your right about one thing when there are no trucks in areas it is harder to find a transport. I am how ever confused about the communication issue. We talk often, yes you called in to us but we call to you as well, I left many messages and you were informed about what was going on.
