Car was picked up on same day I called.
Couple of follow up phone calls from Rebecca. I had to initiate the call myself a few times to find status.
Estimated pickup date: 8/20/12 (On Time)
Estimated Delivery date 8/25/12 On 8/25/12 I called the number for Auto Star Express I was provided with, and got an answering service. The phone call was never returned.
(Delivered 8/29/12) NOT on time (the truck has now 90k miles more than when it was picked up) don’t know why and the driver could not explain it. The truck was delivered by another company, not the original one.
After searching and requesting several quotes from various car shipper brokers I received quotes to ship my small truck from Texas to California. From $500.- to $1105.-
After checking the reviews on www.transportreviews.com I decided to go with Cascade Vehicle Shipping who advertises they will match competitor prices. Rebecca quoted me $1105.- and I decided to go with this company without asking for any discount. I thought by doing that I would get my truck on time.
The excuse is the whole industry works this way and there is nothing you can do about it.
If I had known I would get the same results paying half price for what I got, I would have chosen a different path.
I am not saying this is a bad company, my advice is bargain as much as You can because no matter if You pay full or half price, the end result will be the same. Good Luck
