I dealt with Cat mostly and she was very helpful in explaining the process since this was the first time I had a vehicle shipped. Overall I was very happy with Capitol's service, the carrier they selected (Ambela) was just ok. I didn't mind that they there 2 days late in picking up the car because I had built in some cushion on our departure date and we were still in town. They were also a day late in dropping off which was ok because I had no real deadline for the car to arrive, but my Brother was annoyed because he did wait around on the day it was supposed to arrive. My only issue was that there was virtually no communication with the driver. He was a very nice guy, but I wish I had had some notice. He was supposed to give me a 24-48 hour notice for pickup and dropoff, but in both cases I didn't hear from him until he was in front of the house. I had to keep contacting Cat to find out what was going on and she was very helpful and prompt in getting back to me with status updates. From the little experience I've had when shipping any cargo across the country you need to build in a time cushion on both ends, that's just the way it is. A lot can happen between CA and NJ. I shipped some of our belongings with a cargo carrier and my motorcycle with a motorcycle carrier and had the same issues in all 3 cases (+/- 1-2 days on pickup/dropoff). Overall, I would recommend Capitol...good price and great customer service.
