Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else. I am not bull-shirting you. Capital Auto Transport and Mike Dakota are for real. I am in Fairbanks, Alaska and the Miata I purchased last fall was in my daughter’s garage in Vegas. My intention was to fly down this summer and drive it back up. Although it would have been an awesome road trip, I decided shipping it would be much less wear and tear on me and the car. We requested quotes and became “best friends” with several companies, but Dakota was the only one who called – and was the only one who broke it down. Within hours he put a plan together, told me who the carrier was to take it north by truck and then what ship. They sent me all the business’ information; permits, insurance and tax identification. Dakota made my leap-of-faith, one small step. He was up front about their fee and how I could pay, and the same with everyone down the line, including the trucker and the shipping company. I was able to call each of them for an instant update. If I ever buy another treasure in the lower 48 and need it brought to Alaska, I have Dakota on speed dial.
