I would use Capitol Auto Transport again after a smooth, on-time experience with excellent communication throughout. This was my first time shipping a car, and the reviews contained enough horror stories to warrant careful research on BBB and transportreviews.com. I selected Capitol Auto Transport based on excellent reviews and a decent bid price. Mike Dakota was extremely helpful in explaining the auto transport business. He provided his personal cell phone number and returned calls and e-mails very promptly throughout all phases of the process even after normal business hours. Once I had agreed to a contract, he had a trucking firm with great ratings (Xpress Auto Carrier) lined up within hours. I had a narrow window when I would be in California to have the car picked up, so on time pickup was critical. Both Capitol and the trucker communicated an initial timeframe the night before the pickup, and the trucking company updated me several times during the day and arrived within 2 minutes of the given ETA. The trucking firm managed to pick up the car within half a block of where I was staying, did a thorough job noting and photographing existing minor car damage, and had the car loaded within 15 minutes. Prompt and professional! The delivery was after my return to Virginia as requested and was prompt and efficient. I have several friends and neighbors who need cars transported, and I'll be passing the contact information on for Mike Dakota and Capitol Auto Transport with my highest recommendation. His colleague Cat was also helpful.
