Got a quote from Movewheels originally of $1,100.00 so this was the lowest quote I had gotten so I accepted the quote. I informed my rep over the phone that I had oversized tires and a 4” lift kit installed on my vehicle. That info was not given to the Shipping company. So after accepting the quote for $1,100.00 and signed it they tell me the shipping company needs $1350.00 and they could not do it for $1,100.00 so I need my vehicle moved so I agreed to terms. So the shipping company arrives to pick up my vehicle n driver is very polite and courteous n takes his pictures of my vehicle all the way around it, driver says nothing regarding my oversized tires and vehicle being lifted aspect or saying he would need more money. So after my vehicle is loaded up and gone, the following night I get a call from the driver saying because of my modifications and oversized tires he will need another $400.00, he stated due to my modifications to my vehicle he was short a vehicle on the truck due to height restrictions going up to New England. But what ticked me off was I was not informed of this when vehicle was picked up, but after the fact while vehicle was enroute. Shady from the get go! I have been told about these companies price gouging after the quote is signed. So in total I ended up paying from original quote of $1,100.00 to $1750.00 = $650.00 more! Crooked! These owners of these companies are foreigners from other countries at least the shipping company and broker that I dealt with were from another country. Non speak total English! Shady operation and crooked! Don’t trust Movewheels or Gulfcoast Auto Shipping Inc. Crooks! They won’t get me again! I will figure other transport options out. All this being said, I did thank the driver Mulano for getting my Jeep from Florida to Maine safely! The owner of Gulfcoast Auto Shipping Inc., on
the other hand was rude, threatening to turn the driver around and store my Jeep in Massachusetts where is company is based. He told me I don’t care if you call the State Police, Trump, Biden! You pay $400.00 plus The bank check for $1,000.00 so $1,400.00 on delivery or you can pick up your vehicle in Massachusetts when you figure it out, he said I’m done with this n hung up on me a customer! Unsatisfactory!!!!
