Federal DOT Weight restrictions.

We recommend limiting the load to a maximum of 75 lbs., although certain carriers might permit weights up to 100 lbs. This recommendation is based on the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation, which specifies a maximum gross vehicle weight limit of 80,000 pounds for trucks operating on Interstate highways. The motor carrier must exercise caution in managing the weight loaded into the vehicle.
