I found Autolog the hard way but am glad that I did. I shipped my car from MA to CA last January through a broker called National Auto Transport (Florida-based). The contract I signed was from my home to my new place of residence. When the car arrived at the depot in CA, I was told that the carrier was paid only to bring it to the depot and not to my residence. Numerious calls to National Auto Transport met with denial and then an admissions by the man in charge that he did not care what the contract said, he would not pay for it to be brought to my residence. I subsequently told American Express the problem, and the deposit I paid was refunded which compensated me for the extra expense. The depot in CA even told me that this problem comes up frequently with National Auto Transport.

I also learned that National Auto Transport was only a broker and that they used Autolog to tranpsort the vehicle. So I called them directly when I had the car shipped back to MA and found a staff that was responsive and the cost less since I did not have to pay a broker. I encourage people to use Autolog.
