Made a reservation and secured a drop off date with a $ 50.00 required deposit paid Aug 15. Balance due was payable two weeks before shipment. Decided to arrange to drop off my cadillac 4 passenger sedan at autologs designated terminal in Linden , NJ and to pick up the car in the designated terminal in Naples Fl. Had trepidations about the wisdom of having my car shiped because of a number of experiences recounted by friends with other firms. eg. friend paid in full and the car ws never picked up and delivered because the firm went out of business and he was unable to reach anyone at the defunct brokerage office. He flew down to florida and drove his car back to Pa and never got his money back. Another friend got a telephone call from a driver that transported his carto Fl. and was told that he had not been paid and if my friend wanted his car he would have to pay the driver $450.00. Again the brokerage was no longer reachable Both my friends had previously had satasfactory experinces with the respective companiies previously.
Autolog was very professional in their dealings and i called them several times before droping of my car for delivery to make certain they were in business and for travel instructions to their terminals. I also had other freinds who had used autolog service. At the drop off and pickup terminals I made a point of speaking to the workers at the terminals and they all were positive in their opinions of autolog and the transport company they used. They have been in the business for a number of years. I will be using them again if I need an auto transporter in the future.
