Our apologies that customer had some personal items missing, but to clear things up……AutoStar Transport Express did not lose customer’s tire. The order was assigned to the carrier, Illin Transport, LLC out of Sommers, MT. After the order had been assigned and dispatched to the carrier, as a part of our courtesy calls to all parties, we spoke with the pickup contact, Steve Bert who advised us they would like to transport 4 extra tires and rims. We advised Mr Bert at the time the rules and policies of transporting personal items, and that it is entirely up to the carrier’s discretion, and that personal items are not insured. We were later informed by the customer, Mr Andy Coan, that one of the tires was missing, and that he had already spoken to the driver and carrier company. Customer and his pickup agent, made their own arrangements with the carrier, customer chose to speak to carrier directly about the missing item……..all of this without our knowledge and or approval. We are continuing the help Mr Coan retrieve his missing tire or get compensation for it, but in NO WAY, do we accept the notion from Mr Coan, that WE at AutoStar Transport Express lost his tire.
