We moved a car from the Bay area in CA to Boston, MA. The car needed to be picked up from a friend, and delivered to us in Boston. When Marie initially contacted me with her quote, I found it expensive as it was $100-200 higher than a couple of other quotes i had received. Marie let me know that she thought those other quotes were unrealistic and that I should expect to see significant delays in the move and that I should check reviews. I did and realized that the companies that gave the lower quotes had routinely asked customers to pay more subsequently when they 'couldn't find a driver at that price'. In the end, despite having rejected their quote earlier, I went with AutoStar when it turned out that we needed our car to be picked up earlier than anticipated. I was given a two day window for pickup. The driver co-ordinated with my friend in CA and picked up the car. We didn't hear from the driver for a week, and then got a message saying that he was in MA and will deliver the next day. The only issue we had was that the driver told us, on the morning of the delivery that he couldn't deliver to our door and that he needed a large parking lot. We suggested a few large lots near us, but he insisted that we go to one that was further away. Without a car, this last minute change was a little inconvenient and we had to call an Uber. The driver also reached the spot 30 mins early and then kept calling us while we were on our way. Otherwise, the delivery was quick and smooth. The car was in the condition that it was picked up. Overall, we were very satisfied and were glad that we didn't have to face any stress associated with the move.
