My wife's engine died in the middle of nowhere and we we called a million different towing companies to see if they could help, and the prices were astronomical. One of them told me a car transporter would be more affordable based on the distance so we started calling those. A couple of the companies I called sounded sketchy and then I found Tige (pronounced like "tie"). He was super helpful and knowledgable and also kinda hilarious, educated me on how the bidding process works for getting your car picked up, and helped pair us up with a driver who could pick our car up and transported where we needed it. Got it all worked out, and hope I never have to deal with this again but if I do I am calling Tige...he was the one bright spot in this whole process.
