I had never shipped a vehicle before, so I used Transport Reviews to find a broker and educated myself about the role of the broker and the carrier long before making the first call to Magic Carpet. My broker's representative, Casey Jackson, was up front about a possible delay in getting the vehicle shipped due to record cold and snowfall in Michigan. It took a few weeks before the weather was even safe enough for a carrier to be moving. Once the weather cleared, it took less than a week to find a carrier and get the vehicle to me.
Because of the time of year, the cost went from $800 quoted, to $1000 total cost, but only with my okay. Other quotes were as high as $1300-1700- I did not choose the lowest quote. Except for a credit card confirmation in the beginning, the broker did not charge anything on my card until the carrier was booked, then I paid the balance to the carrier.
Had no problem reaching Mr Jackson when I had questions or concerns and am quite pleased with Magic Carpet's service.
I received no discounts or favors for making this review and people who do should have bad things happen to them. I would use Magic Carpet again and recommend them to anyone. I do recommend that you research your carrier also, not just your broker.
