It seems to me that the hardest, most tiresome part of this car-shipping evolution was actually finding a company that I could trust. I had not used this type of service before, and the initial results from my internet search really had me concerned (there are many, um, questionable companies out there). However, from the reviews on this site, I made contact with Jeff Vigue at Auto Shipping Group (parent company of Magic Carpet Auto Transport) and I realized that I was working with a professional organization from the start.
In my case, everything was above board, schedules were kept, the price quote was honored, and my son's vehicle was delivered as promised. Jeff (as well as the driver) kept us updated throughout the East Coast to West Coast process. If I ever need this service in the future, there's no doubt who I'll call.
