Overall, the transport process was very good. At $1,100.00 the cost was a little higher then I had been originally quoted in December and I thought I could bring the original quote of $975 down by meeting the transport truck on a major freeway but the cost actually went up, even though I did travel to meet the transport truck on a major freeway. However, it was explained to me that although I started the process in December 2013, since I actually had the vehicle transported in January 2014, many transport trucks were not available to bid on transport to California due to a new law change effective January 1, 2014, until they were able to retrofit their trucks to comply with California's new smog laws. The coordinator for the transport was extremely nice and I was able to communicate with her via phone and email, even after hours, which was really good since the transport took place over the weekend. Also, the truck driver, who was very nice and professional, made regular contact with me so we could coordinate our meeting time.
