Lack of Communication

I went with Auto Shippers America because they had the best price and their phone contact was very friendly and courteous. I was told that the company would have up to 21 business days to pick up my car in FL and deliver it to TX. If the company could not do it in that amount of time, I would be let out of the contract. But Christina said that would pretty much be a moot point because she had only seen that happen a couple of times in unusual circumstances. I was also told about how I could keep in touch with the driver en route; I would be given his cell phone number so I could check in to see where he was during the trip. And he was to check in with me approximately 24 hours prior to arrival so I would be prepared for him. Well, the 21 days came and went and they still hadn't been able to pick up my car. So, they added $50 to sweeten the pot so someone would make the run for me. In the meantime, I waited for my car. Imagine my surprise when, a couple of days later, I arrive at home to find my car on a truck sitting in front of my house! They had never even contacted me to let me know that it had been picked up, I wasn't given the driver's number, and he hadn't called 24 hours in advance. They were fortunate I just happened to come home when I did. The driver could barely speak English and we had a difficult time communicating. In fact, someone at the company on the phone acted as sort of a translator between us. Then, they made me pay the extra $50 "bonus" to the driver, telling me it would be reimbursed. So far, (a week later) that reimbursement hasn't shown up on my card, but I am promised it will show up. All in all, I was not impressed because nothing happened the way they said it would. I got my car, but it was not a smooth transaction like they assured me it would all be. Personally, I would not use Auto Shippers America again.

This car was shipped and delivered within 4 days. He was infact notified of status, several messages were left to all the contact numbers provided. ASA paid the additional money added, and Mr. Flippin's card was credited in 3 days.
