Can I put boxes in my car or can I pack items in my vehicle when it is being shipped?
Most carriers require prior notice if a vehicle will contain additional weight due to personal items. According to standard carrier terms and conditions:
Sedans:
Half-full (items loaded below window level with clear visibility through the vehicle): approximately $100.
Full-load (vehicle may be fully packed, as long as the driver’s seat remains accessible and the driver can safely enter and exit): approximately $200.
SUVs:
Half-full: around $200.
Full-load: around $400.
Please note that all items must be securely packed to avoid movement during transport, and visibility through the windows should remain unobstructed for half-loads. Informing the carrier in advance ensures compliance with their policies and helps avoid unexpected fees or delays.
