Americargo was referred to me by a local hauler because I needed a longer run than they normally do. Our daughter had been deployed so we needed to bring one of her cars home. I called Maggie up and she said that she could arrange a pickup that very day. The vehicle in question was coming to the Chicago area from Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. Due to a timing issue, we had to go on for the following day, which worked out fine. Unfortunately, because the driver was not a U.S. citizen, he wasn't allowed to come onto the base to retrieve the vehicle. I got in touch with the Airman I know on the base that our daughter had left the keys to the car with, and he agreed to bring the car to the front gates for the pickup. He texted me pics of the driver, his truck, his phone number, my vehicle on the trailer, and the trailer plate. Horror stories I'd read about in the transport industry prompted this request. I recommend it for peace of mind. Two days later, the car was safe in my garage. There was an additional $25 fee for charging the whole amount as opposed to paying the driver his portion in cash which I was less than enthused about but other than that, it went well. I would definitely use Americargo again.
